Barça were in Manchester last week to talk with City about a deal for Torres. SPORT revealed City have asked for 80 million euros, while Barça are prepared to pay around 50 million.
Negotiations will continue ahead of the transfer window, with Barça making it clear that Torres is their top target as they seek to strengthen the attack for new coach Xavi Hernandez.
