FC Barcelona trying to register all signings, but Jules Koundé is likely in jeopardy

The Frenchman, who was the last to arrive, could be 'sacrificed' if all the reinforcements cannot be registered.

Barça are working against the clock to register all five reinforcements (Kessié, Raphinha, Christensen, Lewandowski and Koundé), and the two renewals from this transfer window (Dembélé and Sergi Roberto).

The activation of the fourth lever has helped, but the club may yet have to let go of some of them because the salary limit is still exceeded. Barça are still short of the capital needed to register all the new players.

The club is still waiting to finalise Gerard Piqué's new contract, and the captain has generously offered to help as well. But even if these new contracts are signed on time, depending on LaLiga's criteria there is a possibility that some of the players could be left out of the squad against Rayo Vallecano.

The 'sacrificed' player would likely be Jules Koundé, who was last to be signed and also has the least amount of experience in the team. Furthermore, Barça have five centre-backs, and his position can be covered will by Araujo, Christensen, Eric Garcia and even Gerard Piqué himself.
