FC Barcelona to earn around €30m from selling their academy stars

There are Barça B players who aren't ready for the first team and will be sold such as Collado, Monchu and Akieme

Barça appear to have made it clear that they will turn to the academy going forward. Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati have now established themselves with the first team and are certain to remain at the club next season. There's also a chance Iñaki Peña will join them as a backup to Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Ronald Araujo has impressed when called upon in defence. But not everyone can be promoted to the senior side, at least not this summer, so this means it might be time to cash in on some of their promising youngsters.

The €10m Barça B would have earned if they were promoted can be tripled if you include the offers already on the table for players. Playing in LaLiga Smartbank would have seen more youngsters continue their development at the club but the failure to achieve that means many are ready for a new challenge at a higher level.

Barça are changing their philosophy when it comes to letting youngsters leave the club. Instead of standard loan deals, they will be permanent transfers with buy-back options.

Monchu, Collado and Akieme are the 'top 3'

Nearly everyone in the B side has options on the table to leave but three stand out from the crowd: Monchu, Collado and Akieme. The first two have an opportunity to break into the first-team picture but there are no guarantees in football, so any significant offer for their services would be considered. Valencia, Betis, Real Sociedad, Granada and Getafe are all interested in Monchu as well as Italian side Sassuolo.

There's also a lot of interest in Collado, including Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo, but also teams from the Premier League, Serie A and Bundesliga. However the winger is expected to complete preseason with the first team before a decision is made on his future.

Sergio Akieme is perhaps the most likely of the three to leave as he's received interest from England and France. Miranda and Oriol Busquets have just returned from loan deals and the full-back wants to play in LaLiga next season. Milan and Parma are chasing Jorge Cuenca too. Other possible exits include Morer and Jandro. It's a long list of potential sales this summer.
