FC Barcelona release a statement on Neto's ankle injury

Barça haven't given a return date but confirm Neto suffered a sprained ankle in the match against Ibiza

FC Barcelona have confirmed that their Brazilian goalkeeper, Neto Murara, suffered a sprained ankle in the Copa del Rey match against Ibiza last night.

The stopper was injured in the second half of the match and but played through the pain to finish the contest.

After scans and medical tests were carried out, the club confirmed Neto suffered a sprained ankle. No timeframe has been given for his recovery but he's almost certain to miss the match against Valencia at Mestalla on Saturday. Iñaki Peña is likely to take his spot on the bench.
