FC Barcelona pulls out all the stops in New York City
The club intensifies promotional events in the Big Apple, the last stop on the U.S. tour, with events by Spotify, Nike and a gala dinner on Thursday
Barça landed in New York early Wednesday afternoon. The Big Apple is the last stop for the Spanish expedition before returning to Barcelona from the U.S. tour. Here in the commercial capital of the world, efforts will be intensified on promotional events with an eye on business opportunities. The trip promises to provide good entertainment for the travelling party whilst keeping them busy.
The team trained in the afternoon on Thursday, in less torrid temperature than in the three previous cities visited. Xavi has given them the morning off, with several players set to be present in various events that will happen in Manhattan. The first of these, scheduled for 18:00 (noon in Spain), is a visit to Electric Lady Studios, Spotify's recording studio. Ferran Torres, Iñaki Peña, Raphinha, Arnau Tenas and Aubameyang are scheduled to attend.
Two hours later, the Spanish team will split up for two more visits that are scheduled. One of them is the Nike NYC-House of Innovation 000, one of three such stores of the Oregon brand. Serginho Dest, Gavi, Ansu Fati, Nico, Araujo and Dembélé will participate. Finally, Joan Laporta will lead the VIP gala dinner at Rockefeller Center to present the partnership between the Fundació Barça and UNHCR. Also in attendance will be the directors, the coach, Xavi Hernández, and the players Sergi Roberto, Jordi Alba, Ter Stegen and Kessié.
