FC Barcelona on the verge of finding a solution for Neto's departure

The English club Fulham could end up as the destination for the Brazilian goalkeeper even though he prefered a move to Napoli

Barça hopes to find a transfer for Neto by this week or the next. The Brazilian goalkeeper, who refused to play for Celta, has several offers on his plate and the Spanish club is willing to give him a letter of freedom if necessary to help reduce his release fee.

Fulham, who have returned to the top flight this seson, are presently negotiating with the goalkeeper's agents to reach an agreement, but Neto himself prefers Napoli and is now waiting. If the Italian club does not make a move, the goalkeeper could go to Fulham instead.

The priority of Xavi and FC Barcelona is for all their discarded players to find a new club before the main team returns from the American tour. Everything possible is being done, although some of them have no offers and will have it tough finding a new destination. Not Neto, though, who has several teams bidding for him, allowing him to pick a team that benefits him most.

Neto's agents were in Miami to meet with Mateu Alemany, who agreed to give the green light to some of the ongoing negotiations. The plan was for him to play for Napoli, as was the Brazilian's wish, but the Italians are still debating the choice. Fulham have him as a priority, however, and hope to close a deal with him in the coming hours as their first-choice goalkeeper.
