The future of Fabio Blanco, at least in the short term, is not at FC Barcelona. The Valencia youngster is heading to Eintracht Frankfurt after receiving an interesting offer that will let him keep progressing rapidly. The German club announced on Monday that they had reached a deal with the player.

Barcelona were hopeful of signing the forward who has been considered the new Ferran Torres.

The Catalans were following the evolution of the 17 year old, whose contract ends with Valencia in June. Blanco will be part of Eintracht’s first team squad while he is there, on a two year deal until June 2023.

That is partly why he chose to go there, with Barca’s first team still a long way off for him. The Bundesliga is a good league to grow in too. Barca will still keep watching.
