Just when the majority of supporters were beginning to get used to Barcelona's new squared design, the Catalan club and Nike have decided to return to vertical stripes for the 2020-21 season.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu and a group of directors have backed the design and SPORT can exclusively reveal the first images of the new shirt.
It's inspired by a Barcelona kit from a century ago when Paulino Alcántara was the star of the team. With Josep Samitier and Ricardo Zamora also in the team, a Golden Age began: champions of Spain and of Catalonia.
The shirt will be a return to stripes, with each Blaugrana stripe bordered by yellow. It's also similar to the shirt worn by the club in 2010-11, when they won the double, including the Champions League.
