Ex-Barça stopper Rustu Reçber in 'critical' condition with coronavirus
The goalkeeper's condition has worsened according to reports in Turkey
Former Barcelona goalkeeper Rustu Reçber remains hospitalised with coronavirus and according to reports coming from Turkey his condition as worsened in recent hours.
The Turkey legend is said to be in a critical condition as he continues to fight the virus which has affected almost 800,000 across the globe.
“We have taken my husband Rustu to hospital with a Covid-19 diagnosis," his wife, Isil Recber, posted on social media two days ago, adding that her and her two children had all tested negative.
"While everything was normal, we are still in shock by the sudden and rapidly developing symptoms.”
Rustu, 46, signed for Barça in 2003 and made seven appearances during his one season with the Catalan club. He earned 120 caps for the Turkey national team.
