One of the first decisions that Josep Maria Bartomeu took after resigning as Barcelona president was to delete his Twitter account. On Wednesday night it was discovered that his profile no longer exists.
"There has been a lack of respect for the board members and I," said Bartomeu in his goodbye press conference. He has received a deluge of insults and attacks on social media and for now, it seems, he thinks it's better to step away from the platform.
