Everton back with interest in Barcelona keeper Neto

Neto has wanted to leave Barcelona for some time. He told them a year and a half ago but no offers arrived to the club that were interesting enough for Barcelona to sell him. They want 14m euros for him in the summer but are open to a loan with an option to buy. Everton, who are having a bad season, are interested, but it will depend on if they are relegated or not.

The Brazilian goalkeeper is tired of being left unused. He signed from Valencia and had Barcelona’s word he could leave if an interesting offer arrived. It was similar for Jasper Cillessen before him. Neto knows that it will be impossible to get in ahead of Ter Stegen now.

The main issue is that Barcelona want to make some money for his sale. Valencia tried to loan him back but Barcelona shut the door to it. So his agents are looking at the Premier League as an option. Inaki Pena might be the replacement on the bench next season when he comes back from Galatasaray.
