The Dutch midfielder is now more likely to join the Parisians than Barca
Georginio Wijnaldum is close to joining Paris Saint Germain than Barcelona. The Dutch midfielder is tempted by the Parisians’ strong economic offer per a story from ESPN. Ronald Koeman, confirmed as the coach for next season by Joan Laporta, will end up without the midfielder he has craved for a year.
Wijnaldum, despite some areas of Barca and their fans not wanting him for a supposed style clash, has become one of the most desired players on the market.
Bayern Munich’s offer seemed like the main one competing with Barca and Wijnaldum wanted to link up with Koeman again, but PSG’s offer has changed his plans.
From within Barca they recognise that the competition for the player is enormous and they are doubtful they will be able to get him now.
