Ernesto Valverde advises Barca youth players to have faith
The coach does not think La Masia played should give up hope
Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde said on Saturday, ahead of the game against Real Sociedad, that La Masia players should keep faith that they will make it to the first team.
As SPORT reported, Riqui Puig is close to sealing a move to Tottenham. However Valverde said they should it would be best if cantera players "think they think they will arrive in the first team".
"The talent of Masia and the youth teams is there, you have to just look at Carles Alena or Puig, they have talent and desire. The future is there, people formed here, later come signings from outside too, it's always been like that."
