Eric Garcia is Barça's top priority due to injury crisis in defence

Ronald Koeman will have to come up with new ways to use his squad after Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto's injuries at the weekend.
However, in the longer term, they may have to turn to the transfer market in January. The ideal plan would be to sign Manchester City's Eric Garcia.
The defender was a target in the summer and if he doesn't join in the upcoming transfer window, he will be signed at the end of the season.
But with Pique injured, Samuel Umtiti's fitness not clear and Ronald Araujo also not fit at the moment, the need for Garcia has heightened.
Therefore, Barça will make reaching an agreement with City in January a priority. Garcia's contract expires next summer and he can leave for free.
