Xavi's side moved 15 points clear at the top of LaLiga with a routine win

Barcelona hammered Elche 4-0 on Saturday to move 15 points clear at the top of LaLiga with Robert Lewandowski, Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres all on target.

Lewandowski opened the scoring in the first half inside the box before Ansu scored a much needed goal after the break to double Barca's lead.

A second goal from Lewandowski on the night followed soon after, with Ferran Torres putting the seal on the performance in the 70th minute.

With 11 games to go, Barca are closing in on a first league title since 2019, with Real Madrid to host Real Valladolid in their game in hand on Sunday.

The three points were never in doubt against bottom side Elche once Lewandowski turned home Ronald Araujo's knockdown in the 20th minute.

Lewandowski could have scored again before halftime, heading off target, with Jules Kounde also missing a good chance.

After a week of a lot of noise about his future, Ansu then added the second, carrying the ball from the halfway line before producing a fine finish from 20 yards.

Lewandowski fired in the third and then set up the fourth with a long ball for Ferran, who took his goal really well to seal the win.
