El Mundo reveals Lionel Messi's half-billion contract with Barcelona
The Argentine forward's salary and bonuses were revealed by the newspaper on Sunday
Newspaper El Mundo have published the list of numbers in Lionel Messi’s contract, which he signed in 2017. According to the publication, he signed on for a deal which reaches 555,237,619 million euros.
They say that he has a renewal bonus of 115 million euros and a loyalty bonus of 78 million. They also say that the Champions League eliminations have not influenced the Barca star’s wage much, saying that he is assured of 92% of that figure.
Barcelona have hit out against the release of the details, saying that they were confidential documents.
