The Uruguayan striker could fill the Aguero gap and does not want to stay at Old Trafford

Edinson Cavani wants to sign for Barcelona next summer. The Uruguayan believes he can play at the top level for two more seasons and won’t renew his Man United deal. His contract expires in the summer.

The 34-year-old forward would like to play for Barça before he retires and according to The Times, has asked his agent to do what he can to make a deal.

If Cavani comes for free in June it would fit the way Barça have signed recently - Memphis, Aguero and Eric Garcia arrived for nothing last summer. With Kun potentially not playing again, Cavani could fit that bill.

The forward has had a season interrupted by injury and after Cristiano Ronald and Jadon Sancho arrived, has been less used by his coaches. He has scored just one goal, against Tottenham, in eight games. With Uruguay he has played in all of the qualifiers.
