Diego Palacios's transfer to Barça is edging closer to completion
Reports in Holland suggest the young full back is about to sign for Barça B
According to reports in Holland, Diego Palacios has decided to join Barça B next year. The Ecuadorian left-back, who played on loan at Willem II from Aucas last season, would prefer to join Barcelona's youth side rather than play the senior teams of PSV or Ajax. The only other side in the running was Olympique de Lyon.
Rick Elfrink, a journalist covering PSV, has posted a message on social media where he confirms the young defender won't be joining PSV because he prefers a move to Barça. Some media outlets such as Soccernews have echoed that report and others, such as Voetbal Primeur, confirm the story via their own sources.
Barça, however, will need to negotiate with Aucas for the player's registration. The left-back made over 30 appearances for Willem and was an important member of Ecuador's side at the recent U20 World Cup.
