The Brazil international is still recovering from a knee injury back in his homeland

Philippe Coutinho is closer to staying at Barcelona than leaving. The Brazilian midfielder has no suitors and Barça are beginning to accept the idea that it will be difficult to move him on this summer.

According to Diario AS, Barça have received no interest in Coutinho -- not in terms of a permanent deal or a loan. He is still in Brazil recovering from a knee injury that ruled him out of the final five months of the season.

Coutinho, who was one of the most-used players by coach Ronald Koeman when he was fit, didn't manage to reproduce his excellent performances for Bayern Munich back at Camp Nou.

The club's most expensive ever signing, at €160 million, could have another chance to prove himself at the club, though, next season.

There is still a long way to go in the transfer market and anything could happen but Barça are being realistic and know it will be tough to place him elsewhere due to his elevated salary.
