The French coach was not impressed with the winger's behaviour

Didier Deschamps, France coach, criticised Ousmane Dembele's behaviour during Barcelona's attempts to sign him in an interview with Sport Bild.

Dembele forced his way out of Borussia Dortmund to join Barca. He refused to train with the German side for 15 days, a bad attitude, and Deschamps thinks it was wrong for a 20-year-old to do that.

"It was unacceptable behaviour," said Deschamps. "Dembele's attitude caused problems at Dortmund, for his team-mates and in the national team."

Deschamps said: "I could not call up Dembele for the France squad because he was not training. It's an attitude we can't tolerate one of our players having."

However he did call Dembele up for the World Cup and he has appared occasionally in Russia thus far.
