The midfielder has already spoken to Valencia coach Marcelino and doesn't want to spend another season on the bench

Denis Suárez has broken his silence. The FC Barcelona midfielder, who spent the last six months on loan at Arsenal, spoke to Cadena SER's 'El Larguero' programme last night about his plans for the future.

"What I want is to leave Barça and play again. I'd prefer to stay in LaLiga. I've spent the last two months in Barcelona recuperating from my injury and no one at Barça has said anything to me," a hurt Suarez confirmed.

The Gallego midfielder hopes a decision will be made on his future soon and Valencia is a possible destination. "Marcelino is the best coach I've had and I speak quite often with him. It isn't true that I turned down Valencia. Valencia never showed a real interest in signing me, not like they are now." A move to Valencia would allow him to play in Europe's premier competition. "My main objective is to play in the Champions League."

Suarez is expected to be one of the first players to leave Barcelona this summer.
