The Frenchman believes he should be paid much more than Barça have offered

Ousmane Dembele's future is one of the big issues at FC Barcelona has been for several weeks now. However, the journalist Gerard Romero reports that the Frenchman has now communicated to the club that he will not accept the renewal offer the club have made him under the current conditions.

According to the cited information, Dembele doesn't want to leave in January, either, but for free when his contract expires on June 30. The winger believes he's among the best players in the world and, as a result, should be paid accordingly.

Per Romer, Dembele wants a deal worth 500 million euros gross across five years, plus 20 million for his agent and a 20 million signing on fee for himself. Barça doubt any other club will pay that much to Dembele, even though it's true there is a lot of interest given he is available for nothing.

On the pitch, Dembele continues to be shown faith by coach Xavi Hernandez. He was one of the few players that played the entire 120 minutes of the Supercopa defeat to Real Madrid.
