Dembele returns to Barça's training base after negative coronavirus test

The France forward can continue his recovery work at the Ciutat Esportiva

The uncertainty is over. Ousmane Dembele, who always seems to be surrounded by mystery, is back at Barcelona's training ground.

The Frenchman has tested negative for coronavirus at home as he's not registered for LaLiga so he couldn't follow the same protocol as his teammates.

But once his test results came back clear, he headed to the Ciutat Esportiva in Sant Joan Despí to continue with his recovery work following surgery in February.

Dembele ruptured a tendon in a training session and went under the knife on February 3 in Finland. He was ruled out for six months.

However, he could yet play again this season due to the coronavirus stoppage of football. He can't play in the league as Martin Braithwaite took his registration, but he could feature in the Champions League if it goes ahead in August.

That's the player's desire, although no risks will be taken given his injury history since he signed from Borussia Dortmund for an initial 105 million euros in 2017.
