Defender Ronald Araújo returns to Barcelona B after paying his penance'
The Uruguayan centre-back was sent off on his Primera División debut for Barça
Ronald Araujo has not played for Barcelona B since Sept. 29 when they beat Levante 2-0. He missed the next game for a happy reason, as he was called up to the first team to provide cover with Clement Lenglet banned and Samuel Umtiti injured.
And it was an even happier moment when he came on in the second half to make his debut for the exhausted Jean Clair Todibo in the win over Sevilla at Camp Nou.
But then Mateu Lahoz stepped forward and ruined his happy day. He gave him a red card for a challenge on 'Chicharito' Hernández in the final minutes of the game.
In the arguing that followed, Ousmane Dembele was also sent off for criticising the referee, Lahoz. Lionel Messi and Ernesto Valverde both defender their players.
Araujo, therefore, has been suspended recently after Barça's appeal failed. However, he should be back in action on Sunday when the B team host Sabadell at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.
