Good news for Quique Setien and Barcelona: Frenkie de Jong, who has missed five games due to a calf injury returned to training on Tuesday.
The Dutchman missed the dropped points against Sevilla, Celta Vigo and Atletico Madrid. He will not be in the squad for Espanyol on Wednesday, either.
However, Quique Setien says he could be ready for the trip to the Nuevo José Zorrilla this weekend for the game against Real Valladolid.
"It would be ideal to see Frenkie in Valladolid," the Barça coach said. "the sensations are improving. He trained today, although it wasn't a very intense session.
"He's better all the time and the idea is to slowly bring him back into the action. We will see how he evolves and if that allows him to be in Valladolid."
