David Alaba chances of joining Barca rise after Laporta win

David Alaba’s future is an important question in the football world. The Bayern Munich player will leave for free at the end of the season. In Germany they say he wants to come to Spain - Barca or Real Madrid. They say that after Joan Laporta’s election win, he has a serious chance of coming to to the Camp Nou, even if he’s more recently been linked to Madrid.
Christian Falk, the Sport Bild journalist, says that the Barca switch is an attractive option for the Bayern defender. Falk said that his chance of signing for Barca is a very real possibility, with Laporta having a good relationship with the player’s agent Pini Zahavi.
The Blaugrana chief did deny on RAC1 that he had recently met Alaba’s representative, which AS had claimed on Monday morning.
Eric Garcia is in Barca’s orbit too, with the Man City defender expected to come for free in the summer. If Umtiti does not leave in the summer it seems difficult for Alaba to join.
