Danny Rose is one of the left-backs on the market this summer. The English defender will leave Tottenham and has offered himself to Barcelona, who are looking for a back-up to Jordi Alba.
Barcelona studied the option but have decided not to sign him because it doesn't make sense economically. They like Rose but also think there are better options elsewhere in a sporting sense too.
PSG, Schalke, Liverpool and Man United have been linked with Rose. Tottenham want over 20 million euros for him and that is a handicap. Barca want a player who is a bit cheaper and can offer Alba competition in the future too - Rose is 29.
