The Brazilian was interviewed by Diario SPORT and it's out this Saturday
Dani Alves is sure of himself. The Barcelona defender spoke about two of the best strikers in the world when he was interviewed by SPORT (full interview comes out on Saturday). The defender said he wouldn’t go crazy to buy Haaland but he would make an effort for Kylian Mbappe, who is out of contract in the summer with PSG.
“I would not throw everything at Haaland,” said the Brazilian. “Sincerely, I wouldn’t spend a lot of money on him. On Mbappe, yes, but Haaland no. I’m playing at sporting director here, but I’d bet on Mbappe first. He seems more complete in every aspect. If you are going to make a huge investment, you have to do it on the best. If it was up to me, I’d bet on Mbappe.”
Alves, on the other hand, said Barcelona should head to the market this summer to reinforce the squad.
“Football today doesn’t give time for the youngsters to cut their teeth. Sport demands the most of you form the start. However I would not spend a lot of money on certain players,” he added.
