Cruyff opens up on his future as he remains in China with Shenzhen FC

Jordi Cruyff is wanted back at Barcelona but no agreement for him to return has been reached

Since Joan Laporta was elected as Barcelona president, a lot has been reported about the possible arrival of Jordi Cruyff as the club's new sporting director.

The reality is that Cruyff remains in China, where he is the coach of Super League side Shenzhen FC, and has not yet reached an agreement with his club to move to Barça.

Speaking to Cadena SER, Cruyff has assured that "I am focused on my job in China. My future at Barça? We will see. At the moment I am here, far away. Only God knows my fate. What has to be, will be."

Cruyff continued: "Now I have to do the work I have here, that is what I am paid for, not to flirt with other clubs."

On Barça's current form, he added: "They've recovered the sensation that they're capable of winning anywhere. [Koeman] deserves a lot of credit for what he's doing. He arrived at a complicated moment, with the changes to the squad, the economic problems, the institutional crisis..."
