The Dutch coach wants to give the Brazilian a second Camp Nou chance

Philippe Coutinho's agent has told TalkSport that the Brazilian will remain at Barcelona and is part of new coach Ronald Koeman's plans.

Coutinho is Barça's club-record signing at 160 million euros but spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich. However, he is back in Catalonia and training with Barça once again.

His agent, Kia Joorabchian said "yeah" when asked if his client's immediate future is now with Barca again despite being touted for a transfer earlier in the summer.

“Koeman called him right after the Champions League victory with Bayern, the following day, and told him he’s very much in his plans and would like him to return," Joorabchian said.

“He was due to return on Sept. 7 but actually he returned at the beginning of September because he didn’t want to lose his momentum and fitness, and he’s been training with Barcelona.

“All signs point to the fact Barcelona have changed quite dramatically, the way their philosophy of how they wanted to move forward from last year and the players they’ve brought in, like Coutinho, Dembele and Griezmann they’re all going to be part of the squad this year.”

Coutinho scored twice as Bayern beat Barca 8-2 in the Champions League last month and Joorabchian added: “Well, you’ve got to do your job and he did his job perfectly, and it’s probably the reason why Barcelona want him back so badly.”
