Owning to the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus, Barcelona have needed to defer their payments to other teams for players they’ve bought. They currently owe 230 million euros. They’ve reduced their debt 28.4 per cent in this area but still owe 115m euros until 2024. That’s according to a study by 2playbook, based on the club accounts. They say Barcelona have reduced their debt by 82 million euros.

“The short term debt is 115.7m euros,” they say, while the long term debt is “115.4m euros”.
