Coutinho for Aubameyang: Barcelona's swap deal with Arsenal being discussed

The duo could both benefit if the players swapped clubs this summer

Financial Fair Play has become a big problem for Barcelona in terms of signings and registrations. The only way forward in this regard is imaginative formula. There is discussion between Barcelona and Arsenal over Philippe Coutinho and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Barca and Arsenal are negotiating a swap deal. Although a move of this nature is complicated, Barca believe it’s a viable option.

The Blaugrana are struggling up front with Kun Aguero, Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembele injured. Aubameyang, at 32, is a viable option and a lethal finisher.

The Gabonese forward would like to leave Arsenal, who aren’t in Europe this season. He wants to play for a top side.

Coutinho’s situation at Barca is not ideal. Koeman has always praised him but he doesn’t seem to have a home at Barca, two and a half years after joining.

Arsenal could be a very attractive option for him to give a boost to his career. The club would fit his style, although they are interested in Martin Odegaard too. In a sporting sense it would suit both sides. Salary wise, Auba would be on far less than Coutinho. Let’s see if it happens.
