Coutinho: "Dembéle scored an incredible goal at an important time"

Philippe Coutinho enjoyed his first official minutes of the season for Barcelona when he came on as a second half substitute in the Spanish Super Cup final.

"It's an important day for us, we've picked up the first trophy of the season," said Coutinho. "For a team with the mentality we have at Barça, to get as many titles as possible, to start doing that straight away is good."

Coutinho praised his team's opponents as they made it very tough. "It was a difficult match. That's what we expected. Sevilla have a very good team and sit behind the ball, looking to strike on the counterattack. It was a complicated match."

The Brazilian was in no doubt as to how important a part both Ousmane Dembele and Marc-Andre ter Stegen played in the match. "Dembele scored a 'golazo' at an important moment in the match. And ter Stegen was key in saving the penalty. He's a great goalkeeper."

Coutinho also pointed out that he was personally very excited to get his first full season at Barça under his belt.
