The forward could be back to help the reserve team secure promotion to the second tier

Lamine Yamal has been eliminated from the European Under-17 Championship after losing 1-3 to France in the semi-finals with Spain on Tuesday.

The stunning goal he scored at the start of the second half was of little use and the Spanish team will have to pack their bags. After his return home, the young Barcelona talent could join Rafa Márquez's B team.

This Saturday, June 3, just four days after Lamine Yamal played all 90 minutes for Spain, Barça Atlètic and Real Madrid Castilla will face each other at 21:00 in the first leg of the semifinal of the playoffs for promotion to the second division.

If Márquez counts on him and the player is recovered, he could be included in the list for the 'Mini Clásico'.

The RFEF confirmed that the second leg between the two sides will be played on June 11 at 20:00 at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano, with both sides fighting for a place in the final.

Option for Barça Atlètic

Beyond his debut with the first team, it would not be the first time that Yamal has had minutes with the Barça reserve team. On May 6, he made his debut for Márquez's side against Eldense.

After a brief spell with the reserve team, Yamal went away with the national team. Five games, four goals and two assists later, he will return to Barcelona for the final stretch of the season.

It remains to be seen whether he will be called up by Xavi Hernández for the match against Celta Vigo or whether he can play with the reserve team in the first game of the playoff.
