Sergi Barjuan is set to manage his first Barça B game this evening (20:00 CET) in a friendly match against L'Escala. However, several B-team regulars have not been included in tonight's squad. After featuring in midweek against Nàstic, various players now look set to feature in the first team's friendly against Girona on Saturday.
As already reported by SPORT, Ilaix Moriba will not be involved in tonight's fixture. However, his absence is due to a totally different reason, given his reluctance to sign a new contract with the club.
After putting in a good shift in the friendly against Nàstic, several B-team players look set to be rewarded with another first team appearance. These include Rey Manaj, who bagged a second half hat trick, Nils Mortimer, Igor and N'Diaye.
The B-team players who have dropped back into the reserve team squad are Arnau Tenas (the only player not to get minutes on Wednesday), Escobar, Matheus, Hiroki and Peque Polo.
Those who started pre-season with Ronald Koeman's first team will remain with the squad until all international players have returned from their summer breaks. Some may even remain there.
