The former French international, who played at Camp Nou, has come down hard on the club

Christophe Dugarry, who played for Barcelona in the 1997-98 season, has strongly criticised the club on his weekly program on RMC.

Dugarry, who often offers strong opinions, hit out at Barça after their Copa del Rey elimination on Thursday. "It's a club of clowns," the ex-France international said.

He continued: "They do everything in reverse. For example, they buy Coutinho and Dembele and later they sell them. I have the impression there is no project at this club.

"The only priority they have at the moment is that the president is reelected*. There's no understanding between anyone there and that translates into a problem in the transfer market.

"The departures of Xavi and Iniesta have led them to spend a lot of money without the need to. Until now, they have not found the style of player or the quality that those two offered.

"Barcelona have many problems and the worst of all is the bad image they offer. There are too many people at a club of this size without elegance and class. It's a club that has no class."
