China and Australia: Where Lionel Messi is spending the post-season

Lionel Messi’s time off in Barcelona is over. He has set off to China to take part in some promotional events before joining up with the Argentina squad to start the Jorge Sampaoli era.
The Barça star will be at the presentation of a new personal sponsor in China and will also be at the inauguration of a museum, an event organised by Mediapro.
Once those commitments are fulfilled, he will head to Australia where on June 9 Argentina play Brazil in Sampaoli’s first game in charge. The match will take place in Melbourne.
Argentina will then head to Singapore where they have a second friendly to play, against Singapore. After having his ban overturned, these are important matches to prepare for upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Messi has travelled accompanied by Pepe Costa, Barça’s player liaison officer.
Once he’s finished in Singapore, he will begin some time off. And later this summer he will get marries to Antonella Roccuzzo, the mother of his two children, Thiago and Mateo.
