Chelsea up their bid to 20 million euros for Barça striker Aubameyang
The English club have increased their previous offer, converting all the variables to fixed.
Chelsea have made a final offer to FC Barcelona for Aubameyang. The English club is now offering 20 million euros upfront for the striker and have taken the variables out of the proposal.
Barça are looking at it favourably but will continue to push for a little more. They hoped to get 30 million euros for the player but realise that Chelsea will not pay so much.
Since the operation for Memphis with Juventus has been slow, the transfer of Aubameyang is the key to signing Jules Koundé.
Approximately €18 million is needed to sign the defender and the sale of the striker would fully guarantee it and also leave some money to spare.
Tuchel is insisting on signing Aubameyang as he trusts the striker and is familiar with him from his days at Borussia Dortmund. In addition, he needs strikers as Lukaku and Werner have left this summer.
Xavi Hernandez has always been reluctant to let the player go as he was a big asset last season and perfectly fulfilled his role. But if Barça need to make this move, he will understand and accept it.
