Todd Boehly will dine with Barça officials at the Via Veneto restaurant

New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly arrived in Barcelona on Thursday to meet with the Catalan club.

Boehly headed straight for the restaurant Via Veneto, with the transfers of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, both wanted by Barça, both on the table.

Frenkie de Jong will also be discussed. The Dutch midfielder is wanted by Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea head to the United States for their preseason tour on Saturday and would like to have their squad as complete as possible.

They are also set to close the signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and have agreed a fee with Leeds United for Raphinha, although the Brazilian is waiting on Barça.

Chelsea and Barça are also in competition for the signing of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

Thursday's meeting between Boehly and Barça will serve to touch base on any number of potential issues.
