The striker would like to come back to Barcelona where he had a nice time

Chelsea's project is floundering and if Madrid knock them out of the Champions League next week, the season will be all but over. The English club is already preparing their second project with owner Todd Boehly and, according to Sky Sports there will be moves soon. Between April and May they could announce the departure of up to five players, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The striker has spent practically the whole season on the sidelines and wants to return to Barça next season.

According to these reports, Chelsea's first five departures will be Aubameyang, Ziyech, Mount, Gallagher and Loftus-Cheek. In principle, the London club will make it easy for them to go, although they will try to recover part of their investment in some cases. Aubameyang already knows that the London club are putting him on the market for around ten million euros and that Inter Milan are very interested in signing him.

Aubameyang's priority is to return to Barça. At Camp Nou he felt very comfortable and recovered his best version. He has maintained his relationship with the dressing room and has asked Xavi to bring him back. Barça do not see the option as a bad one, as Auba would accept the role of second striker behind Lewandowski, with whom he gets on very well. However, the club has already warned him that it will only open the door if he comes for free: either on a free transfer or on loan. In addition, the striker would have to reduce his wage bill to fit into the new Blaugrana wage scale.

Barça's priority is to sign a young striker with projection as long as there are resources for him to come. Vitor Roque is one of the targets, but the club will not enter into any bidding for the player. The club see Aubameyang as a perfect market opportunity for next year, although they know that Chelsea are not going to make it easy for him to leave the Camp Nou. For now, the only thing that seems clear is that in London they will tell him that they don't count on him and that could start to make things easier.
