Cesc Fabregas confesses recommending the signing of Aurélien Tchouaméni to FC Barcelona

In an interview with Cadena Cope, the former Barça player reviewed his current situation and gave his opinion on other contemporary names in the news in football. Additionally, he revealed a curious fact regarding his former teammate in the principality, Aurélien Tchouaméní, who has signed for Real Madrid for 80 million euros.

Fàbregas has confessed that he contacted Barça to recommend signing the French midfielder. "I know Tchouaméni very well. I spoke to people at Barça about signing him. I thought he was a great player for the future, but financially he couldn't be signed. I gave my opinion to another former team and in the end, he went to the rival club. You have to take advantage of market opportunities," explained the midfielder.

Cesc also had good words for his friend and former teammate at Barça, Leo Messi, who he wishes could return to the Barça squad after his departure last summer to Paris Saint Germain. "As a Barcelonista I hope and wish that Messi returns to Barcelona. He has a year left in Paris. I would be delighted. It's a dream that the club and all the fans have.
