Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo did not give any clues regarding Antoine Griezmann's future on Tuesday. In comments to Golazo del Gol, he just stated the obvious: "Griezmann is an Atletico Madrid player. I can't say anything else."
Cerezo was caught on camera after eating with Griezmann at a restaurant in Madrid. The meeting was designed by the president to try and convince the France international to stay at the club this summer and turn down the other offers he has.
The Atletico president added: "I have eaten with a friend of mine who is not called Antoine or Griezmann. He's a good friend of mine and we spoke about film, not about football."
It was insisted that Griezmann was in the restaurant, but Cerezo stood strong: "I didn't see Antoine in there. Was Antoine there? Well, I would have liked to have known that so I could speak with him."
And as for Barcelona's interest, revealed by Josep Maria Bartomeu on Monday, Cerezo commented: "I will tell you one thing: Antoine Griezmann is an Atletico Madrid player, you understand me? Then there's nothing else I can say. I cannot tell you anything else because I don't know anything else."
