Celta are looking for a forward, and are keeping tabs on the movements taking place at Barcelona relating to their signing of a fourth forward, to make their interest in Munir official.
The side from Vigo want Munir in their team as a central attacking midfielder. The idea is for him to interchange positions with Iago Aspas.
The formula being considered by the Galician team is to buy the Barça player and allow the Catalan club a buy-back option, similar to those included in previous deals.
The player has shown enthusiasm during pre-season. Luis Enrique has given him playing time and he has been one of the top goalscorers in the team.
However, the youth team product knows that, if another forward is signed, he will not get time on the pitch and he prefers to go elsewhere in that scenario.
At Celta, he would be able to link up with former Barça B teammates Sergi Gomez and Cales Planas, and that could help him in choosing to sign for the team based at the Balaidos.
The two clubs have set the wheels in motion to complete a deal, that would be one of the final movements in Eduardo Berizzo's Celta team for the coming season.
