His legal team have warned Leo that attending the testing protocols could hinder his hopes of leaving Barça

Leo Messi is considering not showing up for the PCR tests at FC Barcelona on Sunday. This is according to information obtained by 'Catràdio Esports'.

Whilst the headlines have been dominated by the crisis between Messi and Barça, the club's preseason training begins this weekend. The first team members who were involved in the Champions League are scheduled to return for testing on Sunday before getting back out on the training pitch on Monday.

However, 'Catràdio Esports' now claim Messi is reconsidering his idea to attend after speaking with his legal team.

Once Leo sent his burofax expressing his desire to leave, his presence at the training ground could prejudice his strategy to leave. Especially as Messi insists he won't change his mind.

Barça believe his exit clause expired on the 10th June whilst the player feels it is still valid due to the season finishing later than usual due to COVID-19.

All of this will be revealed on Sunday when Messi makes his decision. If he doesn't appear, the club could open disciplinary proceedings against him which won't help either side reach a conclusion.
