Catalunya Radio: Pique in hospital with a virus
The defender is reportedly in a hostpital in Vall d'Hebrón with a bug
Pique will miss Sunday's important league game against Las Palmas
Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is in hospital in Vall d'Hebrón with a virus, according to Catalunya Radio.
Pique has missed training this week with a stomach bug and has now reportedly been admitted to hospital to aid his recovery.
It's nothing serious, Catalunya Radio say, but something which can be dealt with more effectively in hospital.
Therefore, Pique will not be in the Barça squad which travels to Las Palmas this weekend for a vital game in the La Liga title race.
"He will be missing, he's not been able to train. We hope he's better soon," Luis Enrique confirmed in his pre-game press conference.
Remember that Pique has not trained all week after returning from two days off -- which he spent watching the teniis in Madrid -- with a virus.
