Barcelona have rejected an offer worth 35 million euros for Andre Gomes, according to Catalunya Radio journalist Xavi Campos. The offer is more than interesting but the club say the Portuguese international is not for sale. The name of the team who made the bid has not been revealed, but it is a Premier League side.
The Blaugrana are not planning to sell Gomes, who joined the club last summer from Valencia, despite his difficulties in his first season at Camp Nou. Barça feel he has a big role to play in the coming campaign under new coach Ernesto Valverde.
The mysterious offer from a Premier League club was put on the table by Jorge Mendes, Gomes' agent, who has been seen in the Catalan city this week. However, Barça are not even open to negotiating. Therefore, they will not be taking the chance to make their money back on the player they signed just one year ago for an initial fee of precisely 35 million euros.
