Carlos Vela's huge MLS salary could impede Barcelona move
The Catalans have been keeping track of the Mexican striker who is at Los Angeles FC
Carlos Vela is a player that Barcelona are looking at as a potential No 9. The Mexican is at Los Angeles FC, where he is enjoying the calmness of the MLS, far from the pressure of La Liga.
However if he made the move to Barcelona, per newspaper Milenio, Vela would have to take a substantial salary cut.
The newspaper says Vela has earned 5.3 million euros (6m dollars) during 2018 with LA, and is the third highest paid player in the division behind Giovinco (6.7m USD) and Michael Bradley (6.2m), both Toronto FC players.
If he arrives on loan then Barcelona would have to pay at least some of those substantial wages.
