Carles Puyol to pull on Barça shirt again... in Legends' games in Colombia
The ex-captain will be back in action in two games in March in Cali and Bogota
Carles Puyol will pull on a Barcelona shirt once again. At 41, the historic club captain will make his debut for Barça Legends in the upcoming tour of Colombia,
Puyol, who retired after 593 official games for the first team, will be part of Chapi Ferrer's squad for upcoming games in Cali and Bogota.
Barça will play in Cali on March 1 (the same day as the Clasico at the Bernabeu) against a team of ex-players drawn from Deportivo and América de Cali at the Pascual Guerrero stadium.
Four days later, on March 5, they will play against a team of Colombia Legends at the Nemesio Camacho stadium
In addition to Puyol, Ferrer has called up: Jesús Mariano Angoy, Vítor Baía, Hristo Stoichkov, José Edmílson, Sergi Barjuan, Rivaldo, Ludovic Giuly, Giovanni Silva, Roberto Trashorras, Francisco Javier Sánchez Jara, Gbenga Samuel Okunowo, Juan Pablo Sorín, Miquel Àngel Nadal, Frédéric Déhu, Jon Andoni Goikoetxea, Javier Saviola and Juliano Belletti.
The Colombia Legends team will be coached by Pacho Maturana and among the players will be René Higuita, Farid Mondragón, Iván Ramiro Córdoba, Mario Alberto Yepes, Jorge Bermúdez, Carlos Valdés, Camilo Zúñiga, Gerardo Bedoya, Totono Grisales, Giovanny Hernéndez, Harold Lozano, Fabián Vargas, Carlos El Pibe Valderrama, Freddy Rincón, Víctor Hugo Aristizábal and Tigre Castillo.
