The club legend spoke to RAC1 about the current state of affairs at Camp Nou

If there's anything clear in Barcelona's recent history, it's that Carles Puyol's word is among the most respected by the club's supporters.

The former Barcelona defender and eternal captain has spoken about the club in an interview with RAC1 from Pobla de Segur.

Improvements: "There's been a change of energy in the team, they look good, hungry, you saw that in the comeback in the Copa del Rey. And in the Champions League against PSG another goal could have changed everything. It's a new project with a new coach, young players... the league is still alive and there's a cup final to come. Barça have good players, a good team and in recent years have won a lot of titles. These players deserve some credit."

Ronald Koeman: "From the outside, the players look happy with Koeman, who's a club legend and is doing a good job. He deserves respect and confidence and at the end of the season is when evaluations can be made."

Lionel Messi's future: "I spoke with him recently when he matched Xavi's record. He looks good, motivated. It would be great news for Barça if he stays, I think he's in the best place. Everyone makes their own decisions and we will have to understand and respect what he chooses."

Return under Laporta? "I can't say anything. On occasions, I have already collaborated with the Foundation and if they need me I am always ready to help."
