The forward is in Italy to complete his move away from Barcelona
Carles Perez arrived in Rome on Wednesday ahead of his transfer from Barcelona. The forward will move to Roma on loan with an obligation for the Serie A side to make the move permanent in the summer for 14 million euros.
Barça will only have the right to match any future bid made by another club which is accepted by Roma. They had hoped to include a buyback clause.
According to Gazzeta dello Sport, the new Roma player visited the Villa Stuart campus at 9am in the morning to undergo his medical and his expected to sign his contract in the afternoon.
As revealed by SPORT, Barcelona told Perez on Friday that he should look for a new club. He was very surprised by the unexpected decision.
